Authorities in Vancouver have limited the sale of alcohol the day before the next Olympics. Ukrainian Sergei Sednev and Andrei Deryzemlya lost-time leader of the 1 minute 27 seconds (21 th) and 2 minutes 8 seconds (26 th).

in biathlon women (mass-start, 12,5 km) - 1. Magdalena Neuner (Germany) 35 minutes 19.6 seconds, 2 missed 2. Olga Zaitseva (Russia) 5.5, 1 missed 3. Simon Hausvald (FRG) 7.3, 2 misses.

Ukrainki Elena Podgrushnaya, Valya Partridge and Oksana Khvostenko lost time leader 1:03.2 (12 th), 1:52.9 (19 th) and 3:51.4 (29 th).
